Nepal’s Ministry of Agricultural Development (MoAD), with the support of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), has launched a new online Food Security Information System.  The system will serve as an information access platform to compile, analyze and disseminate comprehensive information on food security for Nepal.  Launched at an event held on 3 November 2017, the system was developed by SERVIR-Hindu Kush Himalaya (SERVIR-HKH), an initiative supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
