SERVIR is a globally coordinated, locally-led collaborative that helps governments and communities transform Earth observation, geospatial science, and GeoAI into operational services for resilient, sustainable development. Through its network of regional hubs and global partners across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, SERVIR brings together local knowledge, scientific expertise, and shared digital capabilities to co-develop decision-support services that strengthen climate resilience, disaster preparedness, food security, water security, and environmental stewardship. We believe scientific innovation achieves lasting impact when it is embedded in trusted institutions, built on open science, and co-developed with the regional partners responsible for translating it into operational services.

The SERVIR Global Collaborative delivers locally led, globally connected solutions using satellite data, GeoAI, and regional expertise to tackle environmental and development challenges. Through independent hubs across Africa, Asia, and the Americas, we co-create tools tailored to local needs and scalable worldwide, supporting climate resilience, ecosystem protection, water security, and public health with science-driven, actionable insights.

SERVIR’s work is guided by five interconnected strategic objectives that strengthen the network’s ability to translate scientific innovation into trusted, locally-led operational services.

Build Shared Platforms and Digital Infrastructure
We build platforms that provide shared, interoperable foundations connecting data, scientific models, analytical methods, workflows, and tools into reusable capabilities. These can be assembled into locally tailored decision-support services, enabling regional institutions to build on proven scientific and technical foundations rather than recreating the full system for every project. By reducing duplication and accelerating innovation, our platforms allow new capabilities to be rapidly adapted, deployed, and scaled across the SERVIR network.

Agriculture and Food Security

SERVIR Global Collaborative regional hubs partner with countries to strengthen food security and climate-resilient agriculture by using satellite data, GeoAI, and local expertise to estimate yields, map conditions, and assess risks for informed decisions.

Ecosystems

We help partners monitor and sustainably manage natural resources with Earth observation, GeoAI, and field data, delivering locally driven solutions that track ecosystems, strengthen measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV), and support nature-based solutions, finance, and policies for resilience at scale.

Weather Resilience

The SERVIR Global Collaborative helps countries and communities prepare for and respond to climate hazards by combining satellite monitoring, local observations, and predictive models to strengthen early warning and risk management.

Water Security

We advance reliable and equitable access to water through monitoring solutions that track both quantity and quality of water resources. Our platforms help partners sustainably manage surface and groundwater, plan for seasonal variability, and strengthen climate resilience in water supply systems.

Air Quality and Health

The SERVIR Global Collaborative’s regional hubs deliver solutions to track environmental conditions affecting public health. This includes monitoring the sources and spread of air pollution, identifying vulnerable populations, and supporting actions that protect health and enhance climate resilience.
