Protecting Guyana's Mangroves and Communities with NASA Satellites

SERVIR is helping protect biodiversity and human lives in Guyana by working with communities to keep a watchful eye on the health of coastal mangrove forests. At a July event in Guyana’s capital of Georgetown, SERVIR Amazonia joined the National Agricultural Research and Extension Institute (NAREI) and the University of Guyana in launching the Mangrove Monitoring Service, which was co-developed through a collaboration between these partners.
