Role/Title: Project Management Specialist and SERVIR-Mekong Alternate AOR
Year you joined SERVIR: 2014

Please introduce yourself. What are you passionate about?
I feel so proud and feel so grateful to work in the development field, which provides me with a lot of opportunities to be exposed to numerous activities in different areas. I have gained significant cross-cultural knowledge and a better understanding of relevant development issues and challenges. With over ten years of work experience at USAID, I am equipped with various technical and project management skills, and multi-cultural exposure that helps keep me focused on achieving tangible results. I love helping others and when I see people having a better life as a result of our development work, I feel proud and passionate to continue working in this field.

What initially attracted you to this field of work?
Honestly, it's "satellite data" that attracted me and I am keen to learn more about how to integrate geospatial technology, data analysis, and visualization to mitigate the environmental consequence caused by climate change, plus the impacts of hydropower and infrastructure investment in the Mekong region.

What SERVIR activity are you currently working on?
The SERVIR-Mekong Hub is in its 3rd year of implementation. In this past year, I have worked closely with the SERVIR Global team on sustainability planning for the SERVIR-Mekong Hub. I'm currently putting all of my efforts toward ensuring that the sustainability plan is well aligned with SERVIR's global strategies.

How does your work generate positive change?
I work closely with SERVIR-Mekong's implementing partner - the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) - to ensure that the hub strengthens its capacity to become self-sufficient in the long term. I also work closely with the SERVIR Global team in developing strategic guidance to help the hub utilize the service tools appropriately and effectively based on the region's contexts and needs. In addition, I coordinate with USAID bilateral missions to ensure that SERVIR-Mekong's interventions and activities are in line with their needs.
